NC Capital Projects Schedule for 2002

Spring Funding Session
Prior to March 2002	Note: #2 & #4 are required for curb/gutter and sidewalk and certain traffic calming projects. #2 needed for street light projects. Ample time should be allowed for these type of projects to meet funding deadlines.
	Phase 1 – Project Identification
	Phase 2 – Property Owner Agreement/ Preliminary Petition (as needed)
	Phase 3 – Project Scope
	Phase 4 – Final Property Owner Agreement and Petitions (as needed)
March 29, 2002	Qualified Project Submission Deadline (includes Project Scope & completed Petitions or Project Scope & Letter for Commitment from Civic Association)
April 11, 2002	NCAC Meeting – Draft list of Qualified Project reviewed and Plan Amendments distributed (as needed)
By April 30, 2002	Neighborhoods approve Qualified Projects, Plan Amendments & Establish Priorities. Staff working on preliminary plans and cost estimates. Points Committee begins reviewing projects and develops Preliminary Points Table
May 9, 2002	NCAC Meeting – Updated Qualified Projects Table presented with Preliminary Points Committee Table. Approval of Plan Amendments (as needed)
May 16, 2002	Points Committee Appeal request due
June 13, 2002	NCAC Meeting – Spring Funding Session, Session Booklet distributed with Final Qualified Project Table and Final Points Committee Table
July-August 2002	• Planning Commission Approval of Plan Amendments (as needed) • County Board Approval of Qualified Projects and Plan Amendments (as needed)
September 2002	Work begins on Approved Projects
