Little Falls Task Force

The Little Falls Task Force is a group of Williamsburg neighbors with an interest in Little Falls Road and pedestrian safety around the Nottingham Elementary School. The Task Force, which is a subcommittee of the Conservation Plan Committee, is open to all Williamsburg residents. The Task Force:

  • Keeps current on developments surrounding Little Falls Road, Nottingham Elementary School, and Little Falls Presbyterian Church
  • Works with Nottingham Elementary School personnel, the Nottingham Parent-Teacher Association, and Little Falls Presbyterian Church on issues and developments affecting pedestrian safety and traffic in the area
  • Holds open meetings to inform neighbors of developments affecting the area
  • Keeps neighbors informed of developments through hand-distributed materials, announcements on the web site, newsletter articles, signs, and telephone calls
  • Works with the County staff to implement those recommendations in the Williamsburg Neighborhood Conservation Plan relating to Little Falls Road
  • Writes and calls County staff, elected officials and others to express neighborhood views and concerns relating to traffic and pedestrian safety issues

Our two "institutional" neighbors – Nottingham Elementary School and Little Falls Presbyterian Church – have construction/renovation projects in the planning or design phase:

  • Nottingham Elementary School is in the early planning stages for a construction project that will include four to six new classrooms and a more attractive and secure building entrance. More Information
  • Little Falls Presbyterian Church started construction in June 2001 on an addition to the back of the church building. For Sunday mornings only, for the duration of the project, Arlington County has given the church permission to have diagonal parking in front of the church property on Little falls Road. The project is scheduled to be completed in March 2002. More Information

We are using this web site to keep Williamsburg neighbors informed of developments on both projects.
