We are using this site to supplement the Williamsburg newsletter. The site includes timely information on Civic Association meetings, community news, social events, and neighborhood developments.

Another purpose of the site is to communicate news about Neighborhood Conservation projects. At every step in this process, we will be making decisions and tradeoffs. Many of these decisions will affect you, either directly or indirectly. In addition, as taxpayers, we are all footing the bill. For these reasons, we want and need the broadest possible input into every decision. However, it is not feasible to send out a mailing every time we need input; we don't have the funds to do so.

For that reason, we are following the example of e-commerce and are using a combination of email and web pages. We send email messages to everyone on our distribution list, asking recipients to click to a specific page on the web site which contains new information, such as a revised project proposal. We are also urging neighbors to convey their views on a specific subject via email, especially when they are unable to attend a key meeting.

What You Can Do to Help: We need to expand our email distribution list. If you have an email account, but have not been getting the WCA emails, please email the Web Editor. In addition, please urge your neighbors in the Williamsburg community to add their email addresses to our distribution list.
