Traffic Issues on Little Falls Road

August 15, 2003

Dear Citizen:

On August 6th, the Neighborhood Traffic Calming Committee (NTCC), selected Little Falls Road from North Harrison Street to North Lexington Street to be eligible to receive traffic calming assistance to address speeding and other traffic issues on the street.

This segment of Little Falls Road meets the speeding thresholds needed to qualify to participate in the program. If interested in participating in this program, I am requesting that you provide me with the names of residents, who live on Little Falls Road who share your concern of speeding and are willing to assist in the process. A working group will be formed of residents, two members of the Neighborhood Traffic Calming Committee members and County staff to guide and assist in developing a traffic calming plan.

For your convenience, I have enclosed the Neighborhood Traffic Calming Program Process, Criteria and Measures booklet. I am looking forward to the opportunity of working with you and your neighbors in addressing the speeding issues on Little Falls Road. Please contact me at 703-228-3696, or email at jsikes@co.arlington.va.us. I will be out of the office until September 2nd.

Sincerely,

Jeff Sikes
Neighborhood Traffic Calming Coordinator
