Neighborhood Signs Committee Meeting
5 February 2001

The Neighborhood Signs Committee met on February 5th to review sign design.

Committee members examined three font choices and voted in favor of Kunstlers (above) , primarily because it seemed more readable from a distance than the other two fonts under consideration.

The committee reviewed the dimensions of the large and small signs (above). The committee favors adding the date that Williamsburg nieghborhood was established.

The committee felt that the sketch of the governor's house and surrounding landscape should be multi-colored, with a red brick house, gray roof (to simulate slate), and green trees and grass.

Committee members felt that the updated sketch provided by County Staff (above) featured too much black and should be revised to afford more opportunity for color.

The Committee did not settle on the background color.

The Signs Committee met again on February 15th and again on 21 February to work through the various options.
